Communication absence and recoveries

Absences must be communicated promptly by e-mail to the course Coordinator / Teacher of the seminar with a copy of the Tutor and the College Secretariat.

Attendance to courses is mandatory for 75% of the lessons. The verification of the frequency (also for those who follow via Skype) is carried out by the teacher.

For higher absences it is mandatory to justify the absence and recover the lost hours.

24-hour training activities: maximum 6 hours of absence (2 for each module)
8-hour seminars: maximum 2 hours of absence

The recovery proposal

  • must be sent to the Secretariat with a copy of the Management, the Coordinator /Teacher and the Tutor.
  • must be agreed with the Coordinator / Teacher and the Tutor
  • must clearly indicate the number of hours to be recovered and the replacement teaching contents.

The Management approves the replacement of the lost hours with other teaching activities of the College or Institute of Advanced Studies; the Course Coordinator assesses the consistency of the substitute teaching contents (also in relation to the final exam).

Absences in 8-hour seminars must be made up primarily with seminars belonging to the disciplinary area of the collegiate (humanistic or scientific). In the event that there are no seminars available for the area they belong to, absences can be made up with the frequency of ISA Lectures and in the alternative of other training activities.

Attendance by Skype

Colleges engaged abroad in exchange programs can make a motivated request to follow the training activities and seminars via skype by sending an e-mail to the teacher responsible for the training activity and for information to the College Secretariat. The use of Skype is limited to cases where substitute activities shared with the Tutor have not been identified and approved.
